Our residents have two things in common. They’re the most interesting people we’ve ever met—and they’re the nicest.
Jim & Mary Ann Meyers
Tiffany Springs Senior Living may be new, but for Jim and Mary Ann Meyers, the move has been top of mind for years.
Jim and Mary Ann have been Northlanders throughout most of their 45-year marriage, raising a family of seven daughters and two sons and welcoming 20 grandchildren. Over the years, they’ve built houses for their growing family, and the fact that Tiffany Springs Senior Living was all-new was one of the factors that brought them here.
Although Mary Ann is retired after 18 years on the job, she still says, “I am a nurse.” After working at many local hospitals from Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas to Spelman Memorial Hospital, back when it was a full-service facility in Smithville, she’s as passionate about her profession as ever. Nowadays, she’s a full-time knitter, reader, and solver of crossword puzzles.
Jim’s the social butterfly of the two. Just ask him to tell you one of the many stories he’s collected during his career as a special government agent employed by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Both were looking for more simplicity and less responsibility. It was important for them to make the move when they were both healthy and in control.
“We have a lot of children, and I would hate for them to be responsible for us. We want to make the decisions,” says Mary Ann.
After looking throughout the metropolitan area for years, Jim and Mary Ann found Tiffany Springs was just what they were looking for, a Tutera community with the right attitude and atmosphere.
“We’re just tickled.”
